Branded regional context image; no customer, sponsor, installation or partnership is implied. The International Storytelling Center lists October 2–4, 2026, for the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Tennessee. If your business is planning additional food service around that weekend, the public dates are only the starting point for a refrigeration request. Receiving, preparation, replenishment and the final stock transfer may fall outside the event itself. This independent guide helps nearby businesses and approved food operators describe that complete window; it does not claim Cooler Lease supplies, sponsors or partners with the festival.
Confirm where you are authorized to operate
The organizer’s FAQ says vendor participation is limited, with a small number of food vendors, and directs inquiries to the International Storytelling Center. Do not treat a festival ticket, a public parking map or a refrigeration quote as permission to sell food, place equipment or enter a restricted area. Obtain instructions for your specific role and location directly from the responsible organizer or property contact.
A nearby restaurant operating from its own premises has a different placement discussion from an approved operator working within festival space. State which situation applies in your rental request. Public visitor information can help you understand the event, but it does not establish a commercial loading route or an approved trailer location.
Build four dates into the equipment request
Record the first receiving date, the start of preparation, the final service period and the expected completion of stock removal. These may differ from the October 2–4 public festival dates. Ask your suppliers and operations team when products will actually arrive and when remaining inventory can move back to its usual storage.
For example, a hypothetical restaurant preparing before the weekend may need storage before its busiest service begins. Another operation may need time after the last service to reconcile stock. Describe that actual requirement rather than requesting only the event dates and assuming extra time is included. Availability and the confirmed rental period still require review.
Show the highest simultaneous storage demand
Prepare separate lists for inventory requiring refrigerated and frozen storage. Include packaging dimensions, anticipated quantities and the timing of replenishment. Do not select a trailer solely from a guest estimate or the number of days on the public calendar.
Ask whether a replenishment delivery overlaps with stock already on hand. If it does, describe the combined quantity at that moment. Interior shelving requests should be included in the same discussion, with the proposed layout and loading requirements confirmed for the actual equipment. Freezer and combination requests need their own suitability and availability review.
Give access and handoffs their own plan
Name the person who can meet the equipment and explain the approved placement. Confirm access with the responsible property or event contact, including any restrictions that apply to your operation. Do not infer permission for a truck or trailer from directions intended for visitors.
Arrange a backup contact if shifts change. Share the written equipment instructions and the agreed service contact with authorized staff. If the location or required dates change, tell the rental team before relying on the earlier arrangement; a general local service-area listing does not confirm access to a particular site.
Finish with a collection-ready closeout
Decide who will reconcile remaining stock, coordinate its transfer and confirm when the unit is ready for collection or an agreed return. Keep that responsibility separate from the person closing the public-facing service area. A finished event does not automatically mean the rented storage is empty or ready to move.
Submit the intake with your Jonesborough location, product requirements, full dates and delivery or pickup preference. Request pricing and availability rather than assuming a last-minute unit or immediate dispatch. Check the organizer’s current information again before the weekend.
