Store & Secure Temperature-Sensitive Inventory
Extra cold-storage space works best when everyone knows what belongs in it, who may access it and who manages daily operation. Use this planning guide to organize inventory in a temporary walk-in cooler or freezer rental, from receiving through the final transfer out.
Assign access and operating responsibility
Name a site coordinator and an alternate before delivery. Identify the staff authorized to retrieve stock and follow the equipment instructions. Ask the provider about the actual unit’s access arrangements and any site-specific security needs. Do not assume a particular lock, remote alarm, surveillance system or theft-protection service is included unless it is confirmed in the agreement.
Keep stock identifiable and retrievable
Plan inventory locations around product requirements and retrieval order. Preserve labels, ownership information and your normal traceability records during transfers. For shared event storage, assign clearly identified areas and a responsible organizer. Follow the equipment’s loading and clearance instructions instead of filling every visible gap with containers.
Give monitoring and exceptions a clear owner
Your organization should define the required product checks, records and escalation procedure. Keep the provider’s equipment guidance available and record the agreed support contact. Staff should know who can make product-disposition decisions if conditions are uncertain. An equipment display or a general storage description does not replace product-specific operating controls.
Plan an orderly return
Identify where remaining inventory will go and who can authorize its movement. Reconcile transfers, remove stock and complete the provider’s return requirements before collection. Preserve the equipment exit route during cleanup or construction. For a long rental, revisit the site plan periodically so later activity does not obstruct access or collection.

Questions about store & secure
Does Store & Secure mean security services are included?
This page describes inventory and access planning. Specific locks, alarms, surveillance, insurance or security services are not implied. Confirm any required feature or responsibility for the actual rental in writing.
Can several vendors share temporary cold storage?
Describe the proposed arrangement for review. The responsible organizer should establish permitted contents, stock ownership, access and operating procedures, and confirm that the rental terms and equipment suit the shared use.
Can I move the rental to improve access?
Ask the provider before relocating equipment. A different position can change the approved placement, power arrangement and collection route. Confirm who may move the unit and the revised plan before proceeding.
