Storage that fits your site
When hand-loading cases through a personnel door would slow the operation, a wider product-access opening may be the better rental format. Cooler Lease reviews the pallet dimensions, total weight, loading device, aisle plan, floor requirements, door clearance, temperature, and site before confirming equipment.

What is a pallet-door walk-in rental?
A pallet-door walk-in is temporary refrigerated or frozen storage with a wider, reinforced access opening intended for larger product loads. The offered unit must be matched to the actual pallet or cart, loading method, floor capacity, and internal turning space.
Hand pallet jack and forklift access are not interchangeable
Do not assume that an oversized door allows a powered forklift inside. Many portable units are intended only for hand pallet jacks or carts. The loading device, wheel loads, total product weight, doorway dimensions, and floor rating must be approved in writing for the specific rental.
Plan the full receiving path
Measure more than the door. The quote review should include truck access, placement surface, exterior turning room, threshold clearance, pallet dimensions, interior aisle width, product stacking, electrical service, and how frequently the door will remain open during receiving.

Ask about special-order sizes. Interior dimensions, usable capacity, door clearance, loading limits and power are confirmed for the offered unit. Freezer, combination, 54-inch pallet-door and special-request configurations require separate confirmation. Ask about R-290 compliant refrigerant systems where equipped; refrigerant details are confirmed for the assigned unit when relevant.

For applicable models. Other configurations may require 208–230 V, 30 A, single-phase service. Confirm the assigned unit’s nameplate, circuit requirements and exact plug/receptacle before arranging power; these connections are not interchangeable.
R-290 is a natural propane refrigerant with very low global-warming potential and zero ozone-depletion potential. Purpose-designed systems can support efficient cooling; energy use varies by model and conditions. Ask us to confirm an R-290-equipped option for your rental.
Tell us if site power is unavailable. Generator selection, starting-load capacity, fuel arrangements and pricing are confirmed for your equipment and rental dates.
Request shelving with your quote. Layout, usable space, load limits and availability are confirmed for the selected trailer.
Submit the intake form for pricing, availability and delivery or pickup options. We’ll review your location, dates and equipment needs before confirming arrangements.

Provide the delivery address, requested start date, target temperature, product type, approximate volume, rental duration, site photos, trailer parking dimensions, tow-route and turning limitations, reinforced-ramp landing area, and electrical details. The written quote identifies the offered trailer and every site assumption.
Delivery and operation
Delivery timing is based on fleet availability, route, trailer size, site readiness, and scheduling. Do not relocate sensitive inventory until the trailer is parked and stabilized, the ramp is deployed safely, electrical service is connected as required, the unit is operating at the intended temperature, and it has been accepted under your facility's procedure.
Frequently asked questions
What is a pallet-door walk-in cooler or freezer?
It is a temporary refrigerated or frozen walk-in with a wider product-access door designed for larger loads than a standard personnel entrance. Exact dimensions and approved loading methods vary by unit.
Can a forklift enter a pallet-door rental unit?
Never assume it can. Powered-forklift access must be specifically approved for the offered unit; many configurations are limited to hand pallet jacks or carts.
What measurements are needed before quoting?
Provide pallet and load dimensions, total weight, loading-device type, required temperature, product volume, delivery route, placement area, doorway clearance, and electrical service.
Who typically rents pallet-access cold storage?
Food distributors, grocers, caterers, processors, institutions, and other operations moving higher-volume packaged inventory commonly request pallet- or cart-access configurations.
