A placement area can look generous while the approach includes a narrow turn or gate. Record the tightest points between the public road and the proposed position. The delivery team needs to assess the complete route before accepting the location.
Explain the complete approach
A useful site packet starts at the service entrance and follows the delivery route to the proposed placement. Include photographs of turns, gates and fixed obstructions. Add measured critical clearances and disclose known surface or ground concerns for the responsible site professional to assess.
Do not present a passenger vehicle’s ability to reach the space as evidence that delivery equipment can do so. Ask the provider to evaluate the route for the actual proposed arrangement.
Reserve the space for the whole project
Mark the approved placement and required access in the plan shared with contractors or event organizers. Ask the provider about unit-specific clearances and show where staff will move products. Keep unrelated vehicles, materials and temporary structures out of reserved areas.
Recheck the route shortly before delivery and again before collection. If the layout changes, provide an updated sketch rather than asking the driver to solve a new site problem on arrival.
